Alan D. Cochran
Actively Practicing Information Security Since 1995

Overview

I am Alan Cochran, a pioneering member of Bank of America’s Data Protection Team since 1995, and I have been at the forefront of Information Security for nearly three decades. I performed a crucial role in developing, implementing, and auditing the Bank’s security policies, standards, practices, and functions. My early contributions were instrumental in creating the Bank’s first comprehensive suite of information security methodologies, processes, and procedures. In 1998, I spearheaded the establishment of Bank of America’s inaugural Security Operations Center, safeguarding both Bank and customer assets on a global scale.

Building on this foundation, I have continuously advanced the field of information security, crafting functional requirements for managing, maintaining, and assessing security operations across diverse business sectors. In 2011, I founded Cochran-US, focusing on evaluating the effectiveness of information security programs. in 2018, Global360 Information Security was launched to elevate the Cochran-US consulting practice further, emphasizing knowledge sharing, self-service program development, and the cultivation of best practices for the information security industry.
